Eldoret City Manager Mr. Tito Koiyet chaired a meeting on Monday morning with department heads at the City Boardroom to discuss upgrading services to meet the standards expected of a city.
“We have made significant progress in obtaining the City Charter; now our services must reflect the new status,” stated the City Manager.
Tito emphasized the need for all departments to align their goals with Eldoret’s upgraded position. Additionally, Josephat Rotich, Director of Training and Performance Contracting, highlighted the importance of customizing the service charter to meet the city’s requirements and signing performance appraisal forms to denote the city’s status.
Key officials, including Moses Rutto (City Director of Administration), Lamek Keino (Deputy Director of Finance), Isabella Aiyabei (Principal Accountant), Julie Ego (City HR Officer), and Rael Serem (City ICT Officer), were present at the meeting.
The three-day session was organized following Eldoret’s recent transition from a municipality to a city. The collaboration among department heads aims to enhance service standards and cater to the needs of Eldoret residents as the city continues to develop and thrive.
