Eldoret is finally a fifth City of Kenya after Nairobi,Kisumu,Mombasa,and Nakuru.
President Dr.William Ruto on Thursday 15th August led the confernment of Eldoret Municipality to a city status.
The ceremony took place afterassessment were made under the urban Areas Cities act 2011 and approval by county Assembly of Uasin-gishu and the senate.
The confernment of city status will make the municipality more visible for corporates,which may see arise in population from job- seekers and smallholder businesses.
