Eldoret is finally the Kenyan fifth city after Nairobi,Kisumu,Mombasa,and Nakuru.President Dr. William Ruto on thursday 15th August led the confernment of Eldoret Municipality to a city status.
The ceremony took place after assessment were made under the Urban areas and Cities Act 2011 and approval by county Assembly of Uasin-gishu and the senate.
The confernment of the City Status will make the city more visible for corporate ,which may see arise in population from job seekers and small holder business.
