On Wednesday afternoon the City Headquarters hosted a delegation from Spiro Investment company that is looking to set up an electric motorcycle assembling plant in Eldoret City.
Hosting the team, His Excellency the Governor Dr Jonathan Bii acknowledged the migration to green energy. “The world is now moving green to reduce pollution from normal sources of energy to power our machines.”
“We welcome you and other investors willing to invest in Eldoret, we encourage such investments that will reduce cost of owning machines powered by electricity and also reduce emissions on our atmosphere,” added the Governor.
On his part ,the City Manager, Mr Tito Koiyet assured the investors of support for the benefit of the City dwellers and the entire Western Region of Kenya.
The Investors will set up a plant to assemble three wheelers and two wheelers to serve in East and Central African market.
